The Lakeview Quilters Guild has a large collection of quilting books for use by the local membership.
- A member may check out up to four (4) books at a time for a period of one month.
- Books may leave the library area only after proper check out.
- If member has a book that is past due, he or she will not be able to check out any more books until all books have been turned in.
- Lost books must be replaced with the same book or monetary equivalent by the guild member who lost it. Books are considered lost after six (6) months.
- The fine for overdue books is 25 cents per month. The maximum fine per book will be limited to $3.00.
Categories available in the Library:
The books in the Lakeview Quilters Guild Library are sorted by Categories, and then sorted alphabetically by author’s last name. The categories available are:
- Appliqué: From instructional to patterns, everything you want to know about Appliqué quilting
- Appliquéd and Pieced: Contains examples/ideas for both appliqué and pieced quilting
- Embellishment: Demonstrations of many ways to enhance your quilting from thread painting, beadwork and redwork and many more ideas
- General: Provides the basics how-tos in quilting, encyclopedias to learn every aspect of the field
- Historical: Details about quilts done in the past - great for inspiration for your next quilt
- Modern: New twists to the old favorites, or modern design, check it out
- Piecing: Largest category - everything that can be done in piecing a block/quilt together.
- Quilt Design/Color: Fundamentals in choosing colors for your quilts or designing them
- Quilting: Quilting ideas from free-motion patterns to walking foot methods in quilting your three pieces together (top, batting and backing)
